Focus on Dashboard Viewport
Previewing RPCs and using them in Photoshop just got easier! We’ve added a new viewing mode within Dashboard called Viewport. Not only can you preview and spin around any 3D or 3D+ RPC but you can also drag & drop directly from Viewport into applications like Photoshop! Just hit the Render button and drag the thumbnail into Photoshop.
Viewport for Dashboard improves the workflow for using RPCs in Photoshop and does away with the need for the Photoshop Viewport plug-in.

RPC Spotlight – Sitting People

Meet Amelia! Amelia is one of over 1100 RPCs you’ll find in the Dashboard People Channel. One of the most popular types of RPC content is Sitting People. 3D RPCs of Sitting People were designed to let you place them in context with the 3D objects in your scenes. The placement point of the people is located at their feet allowing you to insert them in your scenes just in front of the object you want them to appear to sit on.
You’ll find over 90 sitting people in the People Channel of your Dashboard. You can either search for “Sitting” or use the new Filters feature to filter by “Sitting” along with other tags to narrow your choice to just the right RPC!
You’ll also find several 2.5D Motion RPCs when filtering through the Sitting people. These special RPCs were created transitioning people from a seated position to a standing & applauding position. Great for showing off your auditoriums or theaters. The new Dashboard Viewport viewing mode even lets you scrub through those Motion RPCs to find the perfect frame in the animated sequence for still renderings.

Drag & Drop RPCs from Dashboard
You can now drag & drop RPCs directly from Dashboard into 3ds Max, Autocad and Revit! Dashboard makes it easier than ever to find just the right RPC with Search, Filters and the brand new Viewport viewing mode. After you’ve found the perfect RPC for your scene just drag & drop it directly from Dashboard!

RPC Cloud Rendering
ArchVision and Autodesk teamed up once again to make life easier for you by natively supporting RPCs in Autodesk Revit’s Render in Cloud service. There are no RPCs to upload! Just place them in your Revit model and hit Render in Cloud! That’s all there is to it. The Autodesk cloud servers talk directly to ArchVision’s cloud-based content repository so you don’t have to transfer your RPCs for rendering!

Tips & Tricks: Working From Multiple Computers
One of the features of the ArchVision licensing system is the ability to move from machine to machine to complete your work. Over the years one of the most common requests regarding licensing was the need to be able to work both at the office and at home. With the old licensing system (pre August 2013) the license would have to be manually transferred each time you needed to make that transition. It worked, but it wasn’t very practical.
The new license management system lets you log into any Dashboard (at the office or at home) and the license will automatically be transferred to your new location! Need to finish some last minute work at home, log in from your home machine or laptop to retrieve your license. Log back in at the office the next morning and your license will follow.
