Troubleshooting Watermarks in Revit
When using Revit watermarks can sometimes appear due to configuration related issues. Most of these can easily be resolved. In this document we will look at the most common issues and provide solutions for them. Duplicate Paths
Revit has the ability to add texture paths to content. However these should not be used for RPCs. Doing so can result in watermarks. Please only use the Dashboard to configure content paths and do not add any paths to RPCs in Revit. See ArchVision Dashboard Help for instructions.
ArchVision Software License Not Present
If a license is not present in the Dashboard that Revit is connecting to, renderings will be watermarked. Verify that a license is shown in the Dashboard.
Revit is not configured to connect to the Dashboard
Revit should be configured to connect to the Dashboard using the network address 127.0.0.1 on port 14931. If not configured correctly Revit will not get a license and content will be watermarked.
Legacy ACM is Running
Legacy ACMs and the new Dashboard are not compatible. If the process rpcacmapp.exe is running then Revit will not be able to connect to the Dashboard and obtain a license. Locate the process rpcacmapp.exe in the task manager and end this process. Uninstall the ArchVision Content Manager. Restart the Dashboard upon doing so.
Firewall or Internet Security Software
Internet Security/Firewall products can prevent Revit from communicating with ArchVision Dashboard on port 14931 to get license or content information. Make sure that rules are added to allow inbound/outbound communications on port 14931 between the two applications Revit.exe and Dashboard.exe.
