Step 3: Configure RPC Plug-ins & Apps to Access Dashboard
A. Configuring a Local Connection Each RPC Plug-in or RPC Enabled Application should be configured to connect to the Dashboard using the URL 127.0.0.1 with port 14931. The only exception to this rule is in the case of network rendering.
Each application should have a Configure Content dialog (or similar dialog to it) shown on the right.
Solutions to Common Issues
1. Unable to Connect to Dashboard
Suggested Solution:
Make sure Dashboard is running. It should appear in the task bar or system tray.
Suggested Solution:
Try disabling Internet Security Software / Windows Firewall. If disabling Internet Security / Windows Firewall allows the RPC Plug-in to connect to the Dashboard try to configure a rule to allow the application to connect to Dashboard on port 14931 (TCP).
